Each year the Commission awards Master’s scholarships for Moroccan post- licence students to pursue a master’s degree in the United States. These scholarships are funded by the governments of Morocco and the United States.

Eligibility/Ineligibility
  • Preference is given to those candidates who have not previously studied or lived in the U.S. for an extended period of time.  Preference is also shown to candidates who have not lived outside Morocco for extended periods or hold dual nationality.
  • Those proposing to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) degree must have completed at least one year of work experience by  May 30 of their Fulbright application year.  Unpaid internships do not qualify as work experience.
  • Fulbright candidates are expected to be resident in their home country throughout the application, nomination, placement, and selection phases.
  • When accepting a grant, candidates must be available to begin the grant on time.

You are not eligible:

  • If you are currently studying in the United States
  • If you have worked overseas for more than two years
  • If you are completing a dual master’s degree in the context of an institutional agreement. Please know that the Commission does not fund graduate studies already in progress.
  • If you wish to pursue a degree in the following disciplines: medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy
  • If you are planning on pursuing a duplicate degree, e.g. pursuing a second Master’s in Architecture while already holding a first one in the same field.
  • If you are an employee or close family member or dependent of an employee of MACECE, an officer of the MACECE board, the US Embassy or the US Department of State or its cooperating agencies, or individuals closely associated with the organization
  • Individuals otherwise associated with the organization, wherein the organization and the individuals are responsible for nominating or selecting individuals for participation in any exchange program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (e.g. cooperating agencies like Amideast, etc)
